I joined Penna as an Associate Director within the Local Government Executive Search team in March 2018. It was an easy decision really. I was immediately impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of the people I met, as well as the breadth of services and capabilities offered. Penna provides a more rounded and complete value proposition than anywhere else in the market and this was a big draw for me.
Prior to working in Executive recruitment, I spent the majority of my career working as a senior level transformational/change consultant in the public sector. During this time I spent more than 11 years creating and delivering innovative and client focused service transformation projects and programmes in partnership with local authorities across a wide range of service areas. I have always been and remain to this day very passionate about public services and ensuring customers receive high quality and efficient services.
Whilst, admittedly, the move into Executive recruitment was not premeditated (blame the kids) it has ended up being a very happy union as it still gives me the opportunity to play a very important role in public service delivery by finding and placing high calibre candidates into critically important positions. With my detailed knowledge of local government services and challenges, combined with my own personal values set, I feel equipped to help clients to continue to meet the growing local government challenges ahead.
Since joining Penna, I have continued to be impressed by the high levels of collaboration and support colleagues provide each other internally, as well as the commitment shown to client and candidate care.
