About the role

We’re Penna. We help our clients find, excite, and secure the right talent. We currently hold a seven-year contract to deliver all permanent recruitment for a prestigious government department. As part of this contract, we have committed to produce and deliver Talent Networks, which will work as an exclusive talent acquisition method to attract, cultivate, and secure specific skills.

  • As an Inbound Recruiter, you will work on this contract, in our Recruitment Services Strategic Partnership (RSSP) Delivery Team.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the RSSP Talent Networks as the key point of delivery liaising with candidates, and clients, to deliver high-quality recruitment processes.
  • You will be first point of contact at the entry of the candidates journey and use the Application Tracking System (ATS) extensively to ensure candidates follow a fair and consistent journey throughout the recruitment process.
  • You will maintain a focus on meeting our client’s hiring and diversity targets.

Role Purpose

The inbound Recruiter is responsible for processing candidates through the Talent Bank recruitment stages, ensuring work is completed accurately while creating a positive experience for candidates.

This involves:

  • Reviewing talent network applications; specifically, highly skilled technical candidates and early careers individuals.
  • Conducting initial high touch interviews with the candidates to understand their expectations, experience, and motivations.
  • Aligning candidates to current, and future client requirements; this will involve supporting on client briefs to understand what ‘good looks like’ for our client.
  • Participating in marketing and cultivation methods, to pipeline candidates and keep them engaged for future positions.
  • Working with the rest of the RSSP Recruitment team to understand hiring requirements and help load candidate pipelines.
  • Dealing directly with the candidate to answer queries.
  • Dealing directly with the client to answer queries and provide insight into Network performance.
  • Supporting with the strategic initiatives within the Talent Networks including optimising the networks, building new talent networks, reviewing data/MI.

What you’ll do

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Operational Activity

  • Work accurately and independently, planning your own time to ensure key deadlines are met, and candidates are progressed quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure candidates are managed in a fair and honest manner, in accordance with all legislation, best practices, and Penna guidelines.
  • Provide a great candidate experience to all applicants, answering phone and email queries according to service level agreements to support candidates throughout the application process.

Knowledge Management

  • Have an inquisitive attitude to learning, continuously building your knowledge of recruitment practices, diversity and inclusion and candidate experience strategy.

Client and Internal Relationship Management

Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and the internal RSSP team, providing recommendations and analysis when appropriate on campaign performance.

Team Working

Be an active team member, positively contributing to the smooth running of the office and business.

Strive to build positive relationships with colleagues that will help them support you in the delivery of client solutions.

Personal attributes, skills, knowledge, and experience

  • Recruitment experience in either in-house, RRO or agency environments.
  • Tech recruitment experience would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
  • An excellent telephone manner, and willingness to be a consultative recruitment partner to candidates and clients.
  • Ability to think on your feet to assess the right route and candidate journey for each circumstance.
  • Experience in a process-driven environment
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new computer systems.
  • GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English
