About the role

To do this, we need to have a deep understanding of what motivates people, their behaviours and habits and wider market trends to determine the best way of reaching and persuading people. The Junior Comms Strategist plays a key role in the start of a client’s journey with Penna. You’ll dissect a brief and work out the best way forward. Working on anything from brand strategy where you’ll figure out what messages need to be communicated to reach and connect with your audience, to creative briefing, channel strategy or KPI setting. Working in the performance media team and reporting to the Comms Strategy Manager, you will provide strategic support to clients (and new business prospects), helping them to solve attraction and resourcing problems. You’ll work with clients to get under the skin of their business problems and set clear objectives for them. To support this, you’ll gather relevant insight (through primary and secondary research methods) to inform your approach. As a Junior Comms Strategist, you’ll oversee and advise on the end to end delivery of your strategy, working in partnership with the creative and media teams. You’ll also work closely with the Penna client teams (Client Partners, sourcing, project management, performance media) on some of the major agency accounts, you’ll help to direct the planning stages of campaigns. You’ll develop strategies for tactical campaigns as well as annual activity. Building on Penna’s growing performance media products, you’ll formulate channel strategies. And you’ll excite clients by presenting your plans with confidence and enthusiasm. In addition, you’ll regularly write thought leadership content - for internal and external use. And grow strategy department’s profile across the business alongside your own.
