University of Leicester

Sometimes the best partnerships just keep giving and going. It’s about having honest, strategic conversations – providing value left, right and centre.

Way back in 2011 we delivered Leicester’s student marketing and staff recruitment campaigns. Fast-forward five years, and we’re still working our magic together and know their business like the back of our hands.

We may work with two completely separate HR and marketing teams, but we keep the same Senior Client Partner working across both to ensure we’ve got a well-rounded view of their business. This certainly comes in handy when the university undergoes significant changes – such as new branding, websites and even new leadership.

For marketing, our core business is media planning and buying – while for HR, we focus on managing their staff recruitment advertising. But our role has often grown into other areas too, such as:

- Executive search for key senior roles
- Introducing a livechat platform so that the University can hold online chats with different groups of applicants
- Supporting a change in approach for their Distance Learning annual campaign, moving from course-focused advertising to focusing instead on specific audience segments
- Introducing them to a fantastic partner of ours, who created and developed an animated video for their Pathways undergraduate routes
- The planning, development and execution of specific advertising campaigns for a large number of their academic departments; this includes the School of Management and their Centre for Lifelong Learning

The length and strength of our relationship means we love seeing the University of Leicester shine. Over the last 18 months, the distance learning team have had their Cost Per Enquiry fall by 29%, we’ve seen some high-profile branding campaigns (think Richard III), and their on-campus undergraduate and postgraduate applications continue to perform above and beyond all expectations.
