Role Purpose

  • To provide research and executive search services of the highest quality to Executive Search consultants for the development, delivery and completion of search assignments, working independently and as part of the team
  • To deliver quality, diverse and interested search candidates who meet the client specification and criteria on assignments
  • To contribute to the development of the knowledge base of Penna across the public sector by identifying and saving useful information for general access
  • To provide information and research to assist with business development/new business opportunities including preparation of pitch/proposal documents
  • To retain and update candidate and client information on all relevant candidate/client management systems
  • To support on adhoc projects such as market mapping and salary surveys to support and strengthen client relationships

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Research

  • Provide research and information on organisations and contacts for proposals, pitches, assignments and other projects
  • Directly accountable to Consultants for the delivery of search candidates for executive search assignments including: determining the search strategy, creating target lists, contact mapping and identification of candidates
  • Responsible for identifying/sourcing candidates from desk-based and online networks
  • Able to lead research and handle high level contacts which require professional, high touch communication and relationship building
  • To maintain point of contact with candidates to ensure they receive regular communication and updates during the search assignment
  • To be accountable for the day to day successful delivery of executive recruitment assignments, adhering to best practice standards as set out by Penna and complying with all systems and processes for data and assignment information capture including GDPR
  • Working closely with colleagues in Interim, Sourcing or our Attraction functions, as appropriate, to design and deliver the most effective solution for client needs
  • To report to clients on status of projects and manage the day to day working relationships with HR and broader client contacts where directed by the Director/Lead Consultant
  • Where possible and with direction identify opportunities for business leads for the broader Penna offer

Information

  • Building an understanding of Public Sector and relevant functions through regular review of sector and national media
  • To be accountable for knowledge and understanding of client issues, imperatives, and recruitment needs
  • To develop market research for pitches, proposals and to use market intelligence to identify opportunities for new business leads;
  • Make consultants aware of changes in the market place, both in terms of potential business development activities and general marketplace intelligence, trends and news
  • Ensure market intelligence from resourcing and sourcing calls is captured and shared appropriately

Systems and Administration

  • Update of database and relevant systems with research information and contacts
  • Assist in the development and management of information on the database and related systems
  • Actively encourage and assist consultants to use the candidate management system
  • Adhere to best practice standards as set out by Penna and complying with all systems and processes for data and assignment information capture
  • Keep up to date on changes to legislation including employment law and diversity/equality of opportunity; ensure adherence to good practice as well as statutory requirements and attend training courses as deemed necessary for the role
