The Role

Bring your financial expertise and leadership to a varied portfolio spanning corporate departments, estates and markets. Reporting to the Financial Services Director, you’ll lead finance professionals and business partners to provide advice, insight and constructive challenge to senior officers and elected Members. You’ll strengthen financial planning and stewardship, develop your team and help improve how services operate.

The Organisation

The City of London Corporation combines local authority responsibilities for the Square Mile with a wider portfolio of institutions, property and services. This creates an unusually diverse finance environment, bringing together public service, commercial activity and long-term stewardship. You’ll join the Chamberlain’s Department and help ensure resources support the Corporation’s priorities sustainably.

Candidates

You’ll be a qualified accountant with full membership of a CCAB-recognised professional body, bringing finance experience within a complex organisation. Sound technical judgement, collaborative leadership and the ability to make financial information clear and useful will be essential.
