About the role
Salary: A career-defining role with a package to match
Kent County Council is seeking an exceptional leader for Adult Social Care and Health – a role that carries both the statutory responsibilities of the Director of Adult Social Services (DASS) and system-wide accountability for commissioning, public health, and integration across health and care.
This is a pivotal appointment at a defining moment for Kent.
As Corporate Director, you will lead a highly capable team and work in close partnership with the NHS, ICBs, districts, and the voluntary sector to ensure that the people of Kent receive high-quality, sustainable, and person-centred care. You’ll champion prevention and independence, embed a culture of improvement, and drive transformation that balances compassion with financial discipline.
Alongside this, Local Government Reorganisation will reshape local delivery across the county, offering the opportunity to influence how adult social care is designed, governed and led for the future.
We are looking for a values-led and collaborative leader – someone with a track record of delivering improvement. You will combine strategic vision with a deep understanding of operational delivery, partnership working, and system leadership.
If you are motivated by the opportunity to lead one of the most influential adult social care portfolios in England, at the forefront of innovation and change, we would love to hear from you.
