As our new Director of Transformation & Strategy, you’ll play a critical role at the heart of the organisation. You’ll lead our flagship Big 50 Vision – a bold, long-term commitment to real change across people, place and performance. From reimagining how services are delivered to strengthening how we work with communities, this vision is central to everything we’re doing.

You’ll oversee the strategic transformation portfolio, corporate policy, performance, and intelligence and corporate change activity – drawing them together to create a modern, efficient and truly resident-focused council, working with other enabling services such as IT, digital, customer, and HR. From reimagining the 'One Council' programme into strategic transformation to embedding a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, this is your chance to drive lasting change.

We’re seeking an outstanding system leader – someone with a strong track record in shaping and delivering transformation at scale. You’ll be confident operating at the corporate core, with the political acumen, credibility and influencing skills to work closely with elected Members and senior stakeholders. You’ll know how to bring people with you, challenge the status quo with purpose, and develop the conditions for a high-performing, collaborative culture.
